The Local Government Unit of Tigbauan, through its Municipal Information Unit , and in collaboration with the Philippine Information Agency Iloilo (PIA Iloilo), conducted Hinun-anon 2025: Orientation of Barangay Information Officers at the New Conference Hall of the Tigbauan Municipal Building, Tigbauan, Iloilo, on July 31. The program was attended by the Barangay Information Officers (BIO) of the municipality of Tigbauan, and guests from PIA Iloilo, DILG, DICT, and PSA. The BIO Network of Tigbauan also held an election for the association of information officers, which was named Tigbaw Information Officers Network (TION). The conduct of BION orientation and election was based on Memorandum Circular No. 2017-165 of the DILG supporting the implementation of the Journalism/Reporter Training Program for Provincial, City, Municipal, and Barangay Public Information Officers.
