USOY SUBA 2024

In line with the celebration of the International Day of Action for Rivers, the Local Government Unit of Tigbauan, spearheaded by the Municipal Environment

In line with the celebration of the International Day of Action for Rivers, the Local Government Unit of Tigbauan, spearheaded by the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), conducted "Usoy Suba 2024" along the Sibalom River at Brgy. Bagumbayan, Brgy. Dorong-an and Brgy. Bitas, Tigbauan, Iloilo, last March 14, 2024. The clean-up drive for Sibalom River was participated by the different LGU offices, Brgy. Officials of Brgy. Bagumbayan, Brgy. Dorong-an, and Brgy. Bitas, students from Bagumbayan Elementary School and Tigbauan National High School, and other volunteer groups in the municipality. This initiative aims to preserve and conserve the biodiversity in the Sibalom River. This is also a way to raise awareness about the importance of rivers.
