The Local Government Unit of Tigbauan headed by Atty. Virgilio T. Teruel, Municipal Mayor, and Hon. Lugen T. Ortilano, Municipal Vice Mayor, vibrantly welcomed the guests and beneficiaries of the Provincial Turnover and Agricultural Machinery Distribution held in the Tigbauan Sports Arena on November 6, 2024. The event was part of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Mechanization Program of the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PHilMech). The program was attended by Engr. Domingo R. Miranda, Assistant Division Chief of the Facility Management and Field Operations Division of PHilMech, Mr. Gareth Bayate of APCO Iloilo, Dr. Janette L. Garin, Congresswoman of the First District of Iloilo, Hon. Jo Ann B. Germinanda, Board Member of the 1st District of Iloilo, municipal mayors of town beneficiaries, and the members of Farmers' Cooperatives and Associations (FCAs) of recipient towns. Twenty-seven (27) beneficiaries from the FCAs and LGUs within the Province of Iloilo received agricultural machinery from PHilMech, amounting to P65,186,188.67 for the whole province.
