The Legislative Department of the Local Government Unit of Tigbauan underwent the 2023 Local Legislative Awards Regional On-site Evaluation earlier today. The Local Legislative Award accords official recognition to a Sangguniang Panlungsod or to a Sangguniang Bayan that excels in the enactment of ordinances or resolutions that ultimately contribute to the attainment of desirable socio-economic and environmental outcomes. (DILG Memo Circular No. 2023-092) The award also acknowledges the innovations and distinctive practices of Local Legislative Departments, particularly of cities and municipalities, for adapting developments that would help build an effective and efficient local administration. The result of the evaluation will be announced within this quarter of 2023. The top performer for each category namely Component Cities Category, 1st to 3rd Class Municipalities Category, and 4th to 6th Class Municipalities Category, will represent the Region 6 at the National Level of the 2023 Local Legislative Awards.
