The Local Government Unit of Tigbauan supports the celebration of the 21st Development Policy Research Month (DPRM). The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) leads the nation in celebrating the 𝟮𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 (DPRM) this September with the theme, “𝗚𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗹”, or in Filipino, “𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙈𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙩 𝘿𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝙃𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙩 𝙣𝙖 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙜, 𝙄𝙣𝙜𝙠𝙡𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙤, 𝙖𝙩 𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙆𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙪𝙠𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙣 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝙇𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙩”. Through this theme, the PIDS wishes to highlight the importance of simultaneously pursuing digital transformation and green transition for a more sustainable, inclusive, and prosperous future. Going green and digital is the way to build back better and stronger after the COVID-19 pandemic and achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. The DPRM is celebrated pursuant to Malacañang Proclamation 247 issued in 2002. The DPRM underscores the importance of policy research in crafting evidence-based policies, plans, and programs. It encourages our policymakers to use data and evidence in planning and decisionmaking. The DPRM also aims to raise public awareness of current and emerging development issues.
