COMMUNITY FISH LANDING CENTER
– Project of Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR)
The construction of CFLCs is a government initiative to improve conditions at fishing communities with high poverty incidence in the different Regions and it aims to reduce post-harvest losses from 25 percent to 18 percent or even lower.
The facility will be opened as a venue for skills training on disaster-resilient fisheries-based livelihood and resource management such as monitoring fish catch and stock assessment.
“We must not rest until right livelihood is within reach of every human being upon this earth we love and cherish. We all have a role to play in achieving this goal.” – Agnivesh
